Step 2 in our Empathic definition is to “Feel what they feel.” In the video below Tim talks about what makes this feeling possible.

To what extent have you followed through with your Empathic Plan this past week? What accountability can you provide the other members in your group to encourage them to commit to their plan? What accountability do you need from them?
What is your initial reaction to the main idea of last week’s AC—that empathy requires vulnerability, or the “willingness to be uncomfortable.” Is this kind of vulnerability a challenge for you or does it come more easily?
In every organization the ebbs and flows of business bring about varying challenges and emotions. What kind of emotions might the members of your team be experiencing right now? Given that list of emotions, can you think of times in the past where you felt similar emotions, even if for very different reasons? How can you use these memories of your past to help you be more Empathic with your team members?

How is your Empathic Plan going? Does your group need to make any adjustments or tweaks in order to keep the plan effective? What is one word of encouragement you can offer your group?
In reference to last week’s AC, Managing Judgment, what are some ways that judgment hinders you personally in your own application of "Step 1: Understand their perspectives”? Is there a story you could share as an example?
